RSS Feeds Setup Instructions

NuVox News RSS Feed was created bring you the latest NuVox news as it happens. The RSS feed format was designed for delivering web updates from a variety of websites and organizations in one central location.

Why subscribe to the NuVox News Feed? By subscribing to NuVox News RSS Feed, you’ll be able to check out the latest NuVox press releases on your browser or through email notifications in your inbox. This is an excellent way to stay in tune with what’s going on at NuVox. For instructions on how to subscribe to NuVox News RSS Feed, just select your preference of subscribing below.

To subscribe for email notifications delivered to your inbox using Outlook
  1. Open your Outlook program and go to "Tools" tab at the top.
  2. Select "Account Settings...".
  3. A pop-up box will open; click on the "RSS Feeds" tab.
  4. To add NuVox RSS News click the "New" icon and enter the location, http://feeds.feedburner.com/NuvoxRssNews
  5. Click "Add" and the "RSS Feed Options" box will open up. This allows you to customize the way you receive updates.
  6. Under the "Downloads" heading, you are given the option to select either one or both of the following options:

    • "Automatically download Enclosures for this feed" OR
    • "Download the full article as an .html attachment to each item"

    Both options will deliver updates to the RSS Feeds folder of your email. The .html attachment allows you to access the print copy of the feed directly from Outlook.

  7. Choose one or both of these options.
  8. Click "OK"..
To subscribe for email notifications delivered to your inbox using MAC OSX – MAIL
  1. Go to "File" in the Menu Bar and select "Add RSS Feeds".
  2. Select "Specify a custom feed URL"
  3. Enter http://feeds.feedburner.com/NuvoxRssNews (please note that this URL is case-sensitive).
  4. Click the "Add" button to complete the process.
To subscribe for live updates on your browser using IE7 version and up
  1. Open your browser and go to http://feeds.feedburner.com/NuvoxRssNews
  2. To add NuVox RSS News to your browser favorites, click the "Subscribe to this feed" link in the yellow box at the top of your screen.
  3. A box will pop up and allow you to chose a name and folder location; after selecting your preferences click the"subscribe" button.
    (The appearance of the NuVox logo in the top right corner of your screen will let you know that you have successfully subscribed.)
  4. To access the feed from your browser, simply click on the "Favorites" icon in the top left corner and click on the "NuVox RSS News" link.
To subscribe for live updates on your browser using IE6 version or lower versions

Because IE browsers version 6 and lower can not read the RSS feed, you required to view them through a RSS Feed Reader. We recommend using Google Reader.

  1. Open your browser and go to Google Reader to log in to your account. If you do not have one, you will be required to set up an account to use this free feature.
  2. Click on the "+Add a subscription" button
  3. Enter http://feeds.feedburner.com/NuvoxRssNews into the text box (This URL is case-sensitive).
  4. Click the "Add" button. If you did this correct, you should see "NuVox RSS News" in your "Subscriptions” list.
To subscribe for live updates on your browser for Firefox/Safari
  1. Open your browser and go to http://feeds.feedburner.com/NuvoxRssNews 
  2. On the right side of the webpage, under the "Actions" heading you will want to select "Add to Bookmarks" or "Subscribe to Mail".
  3. A box will pop up that will ask you to provide a name for the fee and where would you like it to be stored
  4. We recommend using the default name "NuVox RSS Feed" and storing it in the "Bookmark Bar" for easy access.
  5. Click the "Add" button to complete the process.
